With over 60 franchises across Canada, Hickory Dickory Decks is the largest deck builder in the country and a world leader in composite decking. Their business is built on the motto of satisfying customers, one deck at a time — which has led to their expert team designing and building over 25,000 beautiful decks. Their franchise network continues to be unmatched with a strong presence across the country and a supportive head office that assists franchisees with anything from local marketing to sales strategies.

THE OBJECTIVE

To assist their franchisees, Hickory Dickory Decks wanted to deploy a digital strategy to raise brand awareness and acquire more qualified leads within each franchisee’s local market.

THE STRATEGY

Utilizing Google Display and Facebook ads, Rocket Digital created audience personas in relation to a users’ online behaviour and showed them specific ads based on their interests (e.g. deck building, gazebos, backyard entertaining, home improvements, and landscape design). We created targeted messaging and ad designs (utilizing beautiful deck photos their slogan, “Enjoy Life… Outdoors”) and also used retargeting campaigns to show a higher frequency of ads to people who previously visited the decks.ca website in order to keep the Hickory Dickory Deck brand top-of-mind.

THE RESULTS

The digital campaign for Hickory Dickory Decks started near the end of February 2018 and will run through October 2018. The campaign to date has resulted in over 11,000,000 impressions within their local markets and drove over 71,000 clicks to the decks.ca website. The campaign was able to maintain a cost-per-click under 35 cents and generated over 300 consultation requests. The success of the campaign has helped to establish Hickory Dickory Decks as the industry leader in their local markets and assisted in generating more qualified leads for their franchisees.
